THE Approach

After a year of using cartoon characters as the visual strategy, bring FONCO’s visual language back to its core product - fonts. narrow our target market to designers, artists, creators, and students.

The Brief

Yoondesign Group’s font foundry, FONCO needed a visual rebranding due to lack of sales and brand recognition.

The Result

we stripped the fonts down to their core forms against vivid rgb color palettes, showing our fonts are tools for creation, both online and offline. focussing on the digital artistry of each font collection, we were able to present the fonco brand as modern, fashionable, and experimental, shifting the perception of an ‘expensive’ brand to a ‘high-quality’ one. we focussed on bold prints, motion 3d art, projection installations, and even social events and giveaways for new users to engage with our growing instagram to maintain an inspirational space for younger consumers. through the rebrand, we breathed new life into Korea’s type and design culture through one of its oldest and long-running foundries.
